Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – A group of media activists and Christians from Germany met with Shia source of emulation Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim in the city of Najaf on Friday, March 2.
During the meeting, the German delegation described their media activities in Iraq and other countries noting their commitment to reflect the realities of events worldwide.
Senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah al-Hakim stressed the role of religious leaders in establishing peace and security in the societies saying, "Muslim sources of emulation are protectors of innocent citizens' lives including women, children and their possessions regardless of their ethnicity, religion or belief. Religious leaders do their best to serve people and keep them away from threats."
The Grand Ayatollah asked media networks to stay neutral while covering the news of the world; he asked them to not take sides or support a special group while reporting events despite outside pressures.
In the end, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim thanked all those who are working to spread the truth about Islam and reveal the lies, insults and propagation against Shia Muslims.
